Meet Sharon McKeen — Your Leadership Training Facilitator

Hi, I’m Sharon McKeen — creator of McKeen’s Modules for Managers, a practical leadership training platform designed to help new and emerging managers lead with clarity and confidence.

With over three decades of leadership experience in the Federal Public Service of Canada, I understand firsthand how challenging (and rewarding!) it is to be a middle manager. Now retired, I’ve turned my passion into purpose — helping others grow into strong, people-first leaders.

Why I Created This Course

These modules weren’t born in a boardroom — they were inspired by a life-changing moment during a solo hike near Mirror Lake in Lake Louise, Alberta during a 2022 wellness retreat.

After suddenly leaving my role due to a serious cardiovascular condition, I realized that my leadership journey wasn’t over — it was evolving. Encouraged by doctors to retire, I stepped away from management… but not from my mission.

Today, I serve as a Peer Leader in the Women@Heart Program, and I continue to empower others through meaningful leadership development.
